Public Comment Process
Victory!! (for now)
Every citizen, organization, company, and public stakeholder has the right and responsibility to formally file concerns, questions, & comments to Pacificorp & The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Thanks to thousands of comments and petition signatures submitted in Dec 2023, Pacificorp recently announced it as temporarily withdrawn it's application for the project!!! We've won this battle but the war is not yet over!

Step 1 - Send Email
Write an email letter explaining your concerns, comments, and questions. Review our sample summary of key points and let your personal experience guide your email. Pacificorp has announced that it will no longer attempt to seek approval in 2025 in response to our first public comment process. Now, we must ensure that they DO NOT revisit this proposal in 2027.
Protest Water Rights
Step 2 - Send Email by 5/6!
Pacificorp is seeking to achieve 2 important steps that would pave the way for a future effort to pursue it's storage project - 1) It is seeking approval to reclassify existing water rights for use in the Oneida Pump Storage Dam Project, AND, it is seeking approval to transfer other water rights to this area to tap into the Bear River.
-
Send an email by 5/6 with your protest to these two permit requests. START HERE
